i always thought there was two distinct flavors to tallarn's regiments-one is the stealthy, ambush prone, surprise attack, horse-using arabic themed side. And the other is a long range-short range but only during skirmishes, mechanized camouflage adept, desert-fox germans in Africa side.

Really? I thought everyone just thought "lol, middle eastern terrorists in space"
But it looks like I have been thoroughly proven wrong.
Nice to know I'm not the only one.

Rule number 1 of the imperial guard, you can never have too much of anything, tanks, infantry, airsupport, ect

my thoughts exactly that's why 1500 pts in my army is the following: 62 infantry(command HQ 1 platoon with 3 squads and 2 heavy weapons squads and a veteran squad), 6 tanks(3 chimera's 1 leman rus, 1 leman rush eradicator and 1 leman russ demolisher) and a valkyrie. all in all a kick ass army with plenty of firepower and armour

You're quite right alexius-angelfire! :)

My Siegemaster army in Epic is predominantly infantry-based, but even then there's still 14 tanks trundling around!

Thanks mate.

Modern tanks are able to achieve up to around 40MPH, plus the dust and sand in a desert does mean there is a lot kicked up as the AFVs move.

ah, okay, i see. am more a fantasy- or fictional soldier ;-)

the dust is okay with me. the blurry lines of the sand seemed to me like speedblurs.
